Raja Ampat - A Jewel of Nature

Lying off the far north-western tip of Papua Province, the islands of Raja Ampat cover a vast expanse of more than 43,000 square kms of combined land and sea. Here we find the four larger islands of Batanta, Misool, Salawati and Waigeo, with hundreds of other small coral-fringed islands scattered throughout, while the bordering islands of Sayang in the north and Gag, Kofiau, and Bambu sit perfectly to the west. The Raja Ampat Islands form the eastern base of the Coral Triangle and represent a significant portion of the world’s marine biodiversity.
